Achieving the top class speed of 49,000CPH, the RX-7 high-speed compact modular mounter has been announced by Juki Automation Systems. The top class speed is achieved in a compact footprint of 988mm width.

The RX-7 uses two of Juki’s brand new compact rotary heads (Super Rotary Head), capable of 16 nozzles per head. This is a high-speed chip-shooter with high placement accuracy of ±40µm (Cpk > 1) that meets the specification for production of smart phones and many other high-density electronic applications. In combination with the newly released RX-6 flexible mounter, Juki is now able to offer   greater cost efficient production lines, resulting in high yield productivity for various industries whether high-mix, low-volume or high-volume production.

Each Super Rotary Head has two high quality placement head-inserted cameras, one recognition camera to take images of each component from the rear surface and a pick inspection camera to take images of component and nozzle point from the side surface.

The RX-7 can support up to 76 8mm parts for placement, resulting in flexible and efficient productivity. It supports a self-diagnostic function that is conducted during startup and production. This improves production by giving alerts when there is a problem with the machine. For example, the RX-7 will detect a nozzle that is frequently causing pick errors and report the problem.

The RX-7 is equipped with a GUI that can jump to any objective function quickly. Additionally, the operability has improved by using a larger touch panel monitor, introducing a “Favorites” function on operation menu, and by providing real-time capability to change the language setting.
