Electronic Specifier is pleased to announce the productronica 2015 special edition magazine. Now in its 40th year, productronica is the World’s leading event for electronics development and production combining an exhibition which this year will showcase around 1200 exhibitors with a variety of special focus areas, conferences and for the first time, a new event called IT2Industry which targets the industrial Internet of Things – better known as Industry 4.0.

Electronics is an industry of constant change and its production equipment and test and measurement sectors must reflect those changes with new materials, machines and instruments. All these new developments must be taken into account when planning an exhibition and conference to showcase such a wide ranging industry and, to ensure that productronica remains very relevant, the organiser has worked closely with its exhibitors and trade associations to ensure the exhibition continues to meet the industry’s exact requirements.

As a result, productronica 2015 features a new format which gives visitors a unique overview of the entire electronics manufacturing value chain. This new format, described by the organiser as a 'cluster' structure, is also reflected in the hall assignments where individual segments are bundled more clearly making attending the fair more efficient than ever. The exhibition hall plan is on page 4.

Also included in this special edition is a profile of productronica’s 40 years, a feature on cyber security within Industry 4.0 and some suggestions for what to do once the exhibition doors close and you find yourself out and about in the great city of Munich.

If you are attending the show, Electronic Specifier can be found in Hall A1 on Stand 533. Come along and meet the team behind the leading group of publications for the electronics industry.
