Contact cleaning on display at productronica
Teknek, a leader in contact cleaning technology for the electronics sector, will be showing its market-leading solutions for both PCB and SMT production at Productronica. Teknek remain the only contact cleaning company that manufactures its own rollers and adhesives exclusively for use in clean machines.
Making its debut at the show will be the Teknek ACM55 sheet cleaner aimed at the PCB sector. Designed be easily configured to clean in-line or stand alone and to process all materials used in the production of the bare board it uses intuitive tablet technology for control.
The SMT (PCBA) sector is under increasing pressure with the use of small components, e.g.01005, now becoming standard practice. Particles of contamination 50 microns in size, will block the small apertures in the stencil, causing rejection of the board. No rework is tolerated in the world of “Zero Defects.”
Teknek equipment offers a very rapid return on investment usually within months depending on production volumes. Before and after evidence using SPI ( Solder Paste Inspection) equipment demonstrates a dramatic reduction in defective boards if contact cleaning is used to clean the board before solder paste is applied.
