UV drying system hastens hardening times

UV drying system hastens hardening times
As the trend toward miniaturisation continues, and the demand for increasing production time persists, Altus Group is looking at equipment to help make the process easier, including providing innovative UV drying systems. UV coatings and UV adhesives facilitate fast hardening in just seconds, ensure short cycle times and increased production speeds.

Demand for plasma applications prior to conformal coating process

Demand for plasma applications prior to conformal coating process
Due to increasing miniaturisation and packing density on assemblies Plasmatreat has recorded a higher demand for Openair-Plasma in combination with conformal coatings in electronic manufacturing. Plasma application as pre-treatment to conformal coating of assemblies and components ensures that the process window for conformal coating is widened, guaranteeing long-lasting connections and functionality.

New range of thermal gap fillers

New range of thermal gap fillers
Global electro-chemicals manufacturer, Electrolube, has introduced a new range of gap-filling products. GF400 is a two-part, liquid silicone-based gap filler, which can either be cured at room temperature or accelerated with heat. Following cure, GF400 forms a low modulus elastomer that prevents the ‘pump-out phenomenon’, ensuring minimal degradation of effective heat dissipation.

Rapid UV cure conformal coatings live at Productronica

Rapid UV cure conformal coatings live at Productronica
Electrolube on its stand (A4-466) at Productronica this year is performing live demonstrations of its new range of UV cure conformal coatings, one of the most anticipated new group of coating products to come to market in recent years. Electrolube’s new series of coatings enable immediate board-handling with full cure guaranteed within an impressive 6-12 hours due to the chemical secondary cure mechanism.

When and how to clean selective coating equipment

When and how to clean selective coating equipment
Much time and planning are invested in the choice of the ideal conformal coating material and process to adequately protect your printed circuit boards. This often includes multiple qualification trials. There is also what can be long and detailed testing in areas such as electrical performance, flame resistance, and thermal or mechanical cycling.  By Matt Eveline, HumiSeal
