Spot LED curing system packed into compact unit

The new Dymax BlueWave QX4, a high intensity spot curing system, is the latest product added to the portfolio of the distributor Ellsworth Adhesives Europe. The system has all the benefits of LED curing technology, contained within in a compact unit. It is comprised of a controller and up to four LED heads, which are available in 365, 385, and 405 nm and can be outfitted with 3-, 5-, or 8-mm diameter focusing lenses.

Passing ASTM E595 testing for NASA low outgassing, MasterSil 920-LO is a high performance, room temperature vulcanising silicone for sealing, coating and small encapsulations. At electronica 2014, last week, Electrolube exhibited for the first time. In Hall A6, which was dedicated to the automotive sector, the company presented its conformal coatings, resins and contact lubricant products. Hall B1 was dedicated to sensors, micro- and nano-systems, MEMS technologies and electromechanical/system peripherals, where Electrolube demonstrated its capabilities in thermal management.

Resin protects sensor designed for hazardous locations

The UR5604 polyurethane resin, manufactured by Electrolube, has been chosen for use with a sensor designed for hazardous locations. The sensor's electronics, which are in the form of a PCB, needed to be protected from adverse atmospheric conditions but also meet the requirements of the hazardous location.

Hard-coats extend the life of ESCs
To extend the life of alumina or beryllia electrostatic chucks (ESCs), sacrificial wear layers have been released by Morgan Advanced Materials. The Diamonex technical hard-coats, which are applied as a final protective layer, extend the life of ESCs for semiconductor, solar and LED applications.

Solvent-free resins to be showcased at CWIEME Chicago
A range of solvent-free impregnating resins, developed to help manufacturers to meet tightening environmental and safety legislation, are to be showcased at CWIEME Chicago. The resins, developed by Axalta Coating Systems, are claimed to minimise the generation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and reduce emissions during the impregnation process to below 2%.
