Essemtec is pleased to announce that it implemented eez-technology for its dispensing system Scorpion. eez-technology is already successfully used on the pick-and-place machines Paraquda and Cobra.

Since its launch 2 years ago, Scorpion, the high speed dispensing system from Essemtec, has been inspired many users all over the world. It can dispense up to 120’000 dots per hour with an accuracy of 51 ìm (3ó).

The exceptional performance and accuracy is achieved due to the most modern H-Drive that features precision linear measuring devices, the same that is already successfully used for the Paraquda pick-and-place-machine. The software now is adjusted to the standard of the pick-and-place machines: At this year’s SMT the Scorpion system will be shown the first time operating with the new eDis-software at Vermes Microdispensing GmbH’s booth located in Hall 6, Booth 306.

eDis software is designed entirely by Essemtec and is based on the company’s eez-technology. It has been fully developed in .net, uses an integrated database and offers a modern, interactive, intelligent and intuitive tool for controlling all parameters. Scorpion’s new software allows a 15-20% higher dispensing speed, depending on the application. Additionally the customer gets a medium database which is continuously supplemented.

Scorpion’s XY-portal is built on a robust mineral cast chassis that provides excellent damping and smooth motion at high speed. The easy programming and operation allow for the use of a wide range of dispensing applications. The Scorpion can be equipped with up to four dispensing valves of any kind, in which case two valves are running in parallel.
