productronica 2017 will take place in Munich from November 14 to 17. As well as showcasing the very latest in production equipment and production techniques, productronica 2017 will also encompass the many industry sectors that operate alongside product manufacturing. These include Test and Measurement, Materials, Logistics and Legislation and, for the first time, productronica 2017 will also include SEMICON Europa to offer visitors and delegates an even more impressive event platform.
In 2015, productronica’s 1200-plus exhibitors were seen by more than 38000 visitors from 80 countries. Its innovative new structure gave visitors a unique overview of the complete electronics production value chain by segmenting complementary topics into clusters. productronica 2017 will have six clusters – PCB & EMS; Surface Mount; Cables, Coils & Hybrids; Semiconductors; Future Markets; Overall Production Support.
But productronica is more than just an exhibition where companies show their products and services to visitors. There are always special areas of interest spread throughout the exhibition halls and productronica 2017 will again focus on several industry sectors considered key to the future of the electronics production industry. These will include Robots in Electronics Production, Industry 4.0—Smart Factory, Future-oriented EMS and Miniaturization.
In addition, visitors can lookforward to highly topical Forums, the Speakers Corner at the PCB & EMS Marketplace and the popular CEO Roundtable with its panel of prominent speakers as well as hands-on sessions and special shows.
productronica and SEMICON Europa will be co-located for the first time in Munich in November. SEMICON Europa focuses on the electronics manufacturing supply chain with an emphasis on semiconductor manufacturing. SEMICON Europa has always been known as an advanced and innovative electronics manufacturing platform with key segments that include: semiconductor front- and back-end manufacturing, MEMS/sensors, secondary equipment and advanced packaging, applications such as the Internet of Things (IoT).
Together, productronica and SEMICON Europa will greatly expand the depth of information available to visitors with many more opportunities to exchange ideas and promote technological development.
Once again, IT2Industry will have its own area and will present products and services that relate to Industry 4.0 – often called the industrial Internet of Things. In addition, the International Trade Fair and Open Conference for Intelligent, Digitally Networked Working Environments will cover topics that not only include the smart factory, but also M2M communication, industry software and systems, big data (the Cloud) and industrial IT security.
