GOEPEL electronic introduced its new AOI system - Vario Line – at last week’s productronica. According to the company, it combines the best in fault detection, customer specificity and economic viability with a significant increase in inspection speed while maintaining cost optimization of the overall system.

Vario Line represents the further development of the AOI system Advanced Line with a completely new camera module. The compact housing is thereby used as a base and includes one orthogonal and 4 angled view cameras with 360 ° inspection along with multispectral lighting. All cameras are characterized by a large and congruent field of view as well as shortest image acquisition time.  The telecentric optical system for the orthogonal camera works in conjunction with the adapted focal plane of the angled-view modules for excellent image quality with all cameras, and thus forms the basis for the highest fault detection.

A new axis system based on linear actuators has also been integrated, which impress with outstanding dynamic features and highest positioning speeds.

The Vario Line is “3D Ready” and can be equipped with the module 3D•EyeZ upon request. In this version a shadow-free 3D measurement of components and solder joints as well as circumference inspection for proper connector insertion, inspection for pins bent in the x / y axis and measurement of pin height.
