The i-CON 1, a soldering station manufactured by Kurtz Ersa North America, is now available for sale worldwide. To provide fast heating and heat recovery, the 80W station uses the 150W i-Tool. This tool also ensures that the temperature of the soldering tip remains constant.

The station, which is offered with a large selection of tips from the 102 series and more than 40 standard tips, features separately replaceable wear parts, as well as standby and sleep functions to provide low operating costs.

To operate the soldering station, users are provided with an illuminated text display and the i-Op control knob. The station also allows the user to easily configure parameters such as a secure password protection. Ersa have made it possible for the i-CON 1 to be configured with an optional interface for an IR preheating plate or a solder fume extraction unit. Suitable applications for the ESD-safe station include continuous operation in industrial environments and THT and SMT soldering tasks with high energy demands.
