A soldering station, suitable for entry-level professionals, has been released by Kurtz Ersa North America. At 80W and with a footprint of only 145x80mm, the i-CON PICO is both high powered and compact. The station uses i-tool PICO, which has more than 40 different i-Tip soldering tips of 102 series.

Precise control of the soldering tip temperature and the independent change of the soldering tip and heating element are enabled by the soldering station's heating, minimising the costs in wearable parts. The station also features standby and sleep functions, reducing energy use and tip wear.

Three fixed temperatures can be achieved using a microSD card and PC software, enabling safe and simple configuration of the soldering parameters. The i-CON PICO, which features a LCD display and two control buttons, is suitable for electricians who do not require ESD-safe equipment.
